The purpose of this study is to analyze the rational democratization of technology proposed by Andrew Feenberg as an alternative to technocratic power and its consequences. The methodology applied is the bibliographic documentary study. For this purpose, it emphasizes Andrew Feenberg's work and explains his philosophy of technology as a proposal of rational democratization of the technological process, discussing the implications of technocratic control and domination over technology designs. Furthermore, it compares technological designs based on technocratic control and domination versus Andrew Feenberg's rational democratization of technology. From this research it is concluded that Feenberg's proposal provides a critical view of technology and its role in society, and proposes a more democratic and participatory alternative in technological development.
