Resumen
The aim of the research was to analyze the use of three levels of extract (4%) T1, (8%) T2 and (12%) T3, of a type of garlic named Ajo del Monte (Mansoa Aliacea) in the drinking water, compared to a control treatment, to improve the sanitary-productive conditions of broiler chickens. The experimental work was carried out at Los Laureles farm located at 3 kilometers from Tiwintza, in the province of Morona Santiago at an altitude of 294 meters above sea level. The experimental units consisted of 5 chicks for each repetition, using a total of 100 chicks in the trial and were modeled under a simple completely randomized design. Results of the experimental measurements based on statistical analyses were analysis of variance., separation of means according to Tukey (p < 0.01), regression analysis and multiple correlation. The results indicate that the chickens of treatment T1 (4%) reached a higher final weight with values of 2725.26 g, and weight gain of 2681.46 g; while the carcass weight was 2182.22 g, with a profit of 80.08%. The highest feed conversion was observed in the broilers under the control treatment with 1.88, and the lowest mortality (1%) was observed in the broilers of treatment T2 (8%), showing that the different levels of bush garlic reduced the morbidity indexes in the broilers; since the control treatment was the one with the highest value of 20.00. Therefore, it is concluded that the adequate level was 4% of wild garlic in complete diets of broiler chickens due to its importance and benefits in natural medicine, as well as its nutritional properties both for its economic-productive advantages and for the health of the birds.
