dc.description.abstractThe current graduation work was carried out in Santiago de Calpi rural parish, where "EL REY" limestone deposit is located. The aim of this work was the dispersion of (NOx, SOx and PM2.5) atmospheric pollutants, generated by the limestone deposits of Calpi rural parish, Chimborazo province, by means of a randomized convenience probabilistic sampling, in which three active monitoring points were determined at a height of 1.50 meters. With the use of Altair equipment, the dispersion of the pollutants was measured in periods of 5 continuous hours, during 5 consecutive days according to the method recommended by the 097-A ministerial agreement. Regarding the results, the concentrations of the pollutants emitted into the air by the fixed source are: 36.26 ppm of NO and SOx 0.23 ppm. In the case of NO, it exceeds the permissible limits; in addition, the error obtained between the active sampling data and SCREEN VIEW corresponds to a value lower than 5% because the corresponding values in both cases do not differ. Thus, it is concluded that the simulation generated by SCREEN VIEW is valid to take it as a reference on the dispersion of pollutants in this area. It was concluded that the pollutants present a behavior similar to 95%, in contrast to the error reflected by the uncertainty. In this way it becomes reliable and reflects an efficiency close to 100%. Therefore, it validates the dispersion of pollutants with the use of SCREEN VIEW Software. It is recommended to carry out permanent sampling in order to determine how the health is affected by particulate matter.
