dc.description.abstractThis degree work was carried out in the animal feed company "AVICOPROEC" Iocated in the Guano canton, with the aim of increasing the productivity in the area of production of the pellet product. Through a diagnosis of the current situation and Lean Manufacturing tooIs such as VSM (Value Flow Mapping), the factors affecting productivity could be identified and through a check Iist of the 9S, the Lean compliance percentage could be known. Subsequently, a strategic plan based on VSM, Kaizen and 9S was elaborated, in which an improvement proposal for the production process was developed and implemented. The initial time in each work area was as follows: micronutrients 9,554 minutes, macronutrients unloading 35,712 minutes, mixer 17,912 minutes, pelletizing 58,274 minutes, packaging and labeling 26,070 minutes, while with the implementation of the improvements were: micronutrients 8,268 minutes, macronutrients, packaging and Iabeling 23,431 minutes. On the one hand, the results achieved with the initial VSM were 147.58 minutes production time, check Iist of the initial 9S 56% with a productivity of 0.40 Ton/H. On the other hand, the results obtained with the implementation of the improvements are as follows: VSM improved 134.49 minutes achieving a 13.09 min reduction in production time, final 9S check list 86% with a productivity after the improvement of 0.42 Ton/H. In conclusion, the main objective of this degree work to improve the company's productivity was achieved. A stopwatch and a data table are recommended for taking times at the workstations to ensure that the information is accurate.
