dc.description.abstractThe objective of this curricular integration work was the repowering of the Francis turbine test bench of the Turbomachinery laboratory of Mechanics Faculty. An evaluation of the mechanical, electrical and electronic status of the equipment and instruments belonging to the test bench was carried out, since over time they not only deteriorate mechanically, but also lose precision in real-time data collection. The conditions and characteristics of the test bench did not have a functional and useful practical environment for the training of students, preventing a better interpretation of the data that may have been obtained in the laboratory practices carried out previously. It leads to the realization recalibration of pressure sensors using electronic devices, calibration instruments and real-time data processing and reprogramming of the LabVIEW software used. It allows high-precision and reliability tests. It is concluded that, when performing the mechanical repowering and finding updates of the data transfer functions. It will help the operation of the Francis turbine test bench to be the most appropriate. At the time a student performs laboratory practices this is reliable and its work process and data collection is as close to reality as possible. It is recommended to periodically execute maintenance plans, in order to extend the useful life of the Francis turbine test bench.
