dc.description.abstractThis technical project shows the proposal to develop a preventive maintenance plan of the hydraulic systems for heavy machinery of the company Fernandez & Fernandez Construc of the Metropolitan District of Quito, in order to have a better control of each machinery, preventing any type of anomaly that may occur, specifically analyzing their hydraulic systems. Maintenance originated in the 19th century, when several companies began to notice the economic losses they suffered during the unplanned stops that had to make the machines for any breakdown present in the same, causing stagnation in their production, which is why, in order to extend the life cycle of machines, equipment, etc., preventive maintenance was born as a timely and effective solution. The implementation of a preventive maintenance plan that fits the needs of a company has to take into account many factors and parameters for it to be optimal, in relation to: feasibility, implementation costs and capacity to carry it out. Taking into consideration that the machines are subjected to a rigorous work regime, it is understood that these are going to have a great wear, which would cause the life cycle of the equipment or machinery to be shortened, so it is very important to implement a timely maintenance that will help us to maximize the full operation of the same. Methodologically this study is based on the situational analysis of the entire fleet of existing vehicles in the company, which will allow to know the current conditions in which each of the machines are, through a physical inspection and data collection of previous maintenance collected from workers, so that after this it is possible to implement a preventive maintenance plan of the hydraulic system for all machinery.
