dc.description.abstractOil immersed transformers have mostly used mineral oil as refrigerant and dielectric element. This type of oil has advantages mainly in the economic field, however, being a petroleum derivative, it has a low biodegradable property. In recent years several alternatives of dielectric oils have been presented. One of these alternatives is vegetable oil. Electrical tests were carried out and comparison of the results obtained.
