The objective of this degree work is to develop a Monilia pest detection system under an IoT platform and Artificial Vision for cocoa pods. The city of Bucay belongs to the province of Guayas-Ecuador and is one of the important points of cocoa production. One of the problems that occur during the growth of this plant is the attack of pests, one of the main ones being Monilia, which appears in the form of a dark spot, which develops as the fruit grows. The presence of Monilia on the cocoa pod causes an early ripening of the fruit, which deteriorates it until it is not suitable for trade. The high humidity and temperature of the areas where cocoa is grown are physical variables that promote the development of Monilia.
