dc.description.abstractThe current topic related to the analysis of the perception and trends of use of the electric bicycle in Guayaquil is due to the necessary changes in the productive matrix, giving rise to the use of renewable energy means to reduce the effects of fuel use, The growth trend of the automobile fleet for public and private transportation allows a solution to decontaminate toxins and gases that they emit during transportation, requiring greater road safety. The objective is to analyze the perception and trends of the use of the electric bicycle, in addition to identifying the perception of the citizens about the import and sale. The applied methodology has a qualitative and quantitative approach, where the applied methods are exploratory, descriptive and analytical, the instruments used are observation, interview and surveys. The results obtained is that most of the citizens will use the electric bicycle as an alternative means of mobilization to their jobs or study centers. In conclusion, there is a favorable acceptance of the electric bicycle by workers and students, so that private import companies and the Ecuadorian state should provide all the facilities for the use of this ecological means of transport.
