Este tratado admite el hylemorfismo aristotélico, y es a partir de este que se rechazan otras tesis cosmológicas del Estagirita, como la primacía del movimiento local, la eternidad del cielo, la imposibilidad de cambio en las estrellas. De esta manera, incluso antes de Juan Filópono, anticipó las críticas al sistema aristotélico que Galileo haría recién diez siglos después.es-ES
dc.descriptionAmong the four treatises belonging to the Syrian-Christian school of the fifth century and falsely attributed to the apologist Justin, the Confutatio dogmatum quorundam Aristotelis occupies a privileged place. This treatise admits Aristotelian hylemorphism, and it is from this that it rejects other cosmological theses of the Estagirite, such as the primacy of local movement, the eternity of heaven, the impossibility of change in the stars.
