| dc.description | This essay begins with the idea that Marsilius of Padua’s Causa singularis discordie is doubled faceted, it being simultaneously the false opinion according to which the pope would have plenitude of power along with his perverted desire for rulership. I intend to show that this is related to a certain theory of the human acts presented in the Defensor pacis, and how it helps us to understand Marsilius’ approach to the events of his time. | en-US |
