dc.descriptionEl presente artículo analizará el tema del doble o doppelgänger en dos narradores peruanos de la Generación del 50: Manuel Mejía Valera y José Durand. Dentro de la narrativa de esta generación, se desarrolló una vertiente fantástica, la cual fue casi ignorada por la crítica hasta inicios del presente siglo. Uno de los tópicos recurrentes dentro de esta vertiente fue el tema del doble, el cual hace referencia a los conceptos de identidad y otredad, que se pueden ligar a los cambios sociales que se realizaron en dicha década. Manuel Mejía Valera y José Durand tuvieron una breve producción cuentística con cierta inclinación hacia lo fantástico y en el que el tema del doble fue tratado de manera peculiar para abordar el problema de la identidad y la relación con los otros.es-ES

Dentro da narrativa desta geração desenvolveu-se um aspecto fantástico que foi quase ignorado pela crítica até o início deste século. Um dos tópicos recorrentes dentro desse aspecto foi o tema do sósia, que remete aos conceitos de identidade e alteridade, que podem estar ligados às mudanças sociais ocorridas naquela década. Manuel Mejía Valera e José Durand tiveram uma breve produção narrativa com certa inclinação para o fantástico e em que o tema do sósia foi tratado de forma peculiar para abordar o problema da identidade e da relação com os outros.pt-BR
dc.descriptionThis article will analyze the theme of the double or doppelgänger in two Peruvian narrators of the Generation of the 50s: Manuel Mejía Valera and José Durand. Within the narrative of this generation, a fantastic aspect developed, which was almost ignored by critics until the beginning of this century. One of the recurring topics within this aspect was the topic of the double, which refers to the concepts of identity and otherness, which can be linked to the social changes that were made in that decade. Manuel Mejía Valera and José Durand had a brief narrative production with a certain inclination towards the fantastic and in which the subject of the double was treated in a peculiar way to address the problem of identity and relationship with others.en-US
