dc.description.abstractThis Master's dissertation in Clinical Psychology sought to approach the thematic of the parent-infant psychotherapy, attempting to identify how this intervention has been used and understanding its effects on mother-infant interaction, especially in the context of postpartum depression. It consists of two sections: a theoretical article, whose objective was to identify and analyze scientific literature on parent-infant psychotherapy, between January 2010 and July 2015; and an empirical article, with the objective of analyzind the mother-infant interaction, in the context of postpartum depression, understanding the effects of Brief Parent-infant Psychotherapy on this interaction. It considers that this work can contribute to the expansion of reflections on the mother-infant interaction in the context of postpartum depression, from a parent-infant psychotherapy intervention, opening space of improvement and discussion about the thematic, fostering future researchs and subsidizing the construction of health-promoting strategies with mothers and infants.
