glucosa (113,68 mg/dL), hemoglobina glucosilada (6,14%), HDL (38,57 mg/dL),
LDL (109,22 mg/dL), triglicéridos (149,88 mg/dL), colesterol total (199,54
mg/dL), T3 (1,04 nmol/L) y T4 (63,74 nmol/L).
dc.description.abstract | The climacteric represents a critical period in the life of women that marks an
increased risk of cardiovascular disease, due to the biochemical and morphological
alterations that occur. The data suggest that the associations of the endpoints depend
on the presence or absence of symptoms. Objective: To determine the correlation
between clinical symptoms, biochemical and anthropometric parameters and
cardiovascular risk in climacteric patients. Methodology: Quantitative, analytical,
retrospective and cross-sectional study. The unit of analysis is the Alfredo G.
Paulson Women's Hospital. 262 medical records were evaluated for the period from
January 1 to December 31, 2019. The sample will be divided into a group of
symptomatic and asymptomatic women (control group). Results: Of the total of
records analyzed, 66% and 34% were of high and low cardiovascular risk. In the
group with high CV risk, patients> 60 years (72%) and with primary (24%) and
secondary education (53%) predominated. According to the MRS scale, in the
group with high CV risk, hot flashes (89%), heart discomfort (62%), sleep problems
(55%) and muscle problems (71%) were more frequent. The high CV risk group
presented higher mean values of systolic blood pressure (148.26 mmHg), diastolic
blood pressure (88.32 mmHg) and mean arterial pressure (114.45 mmHg), glucose
(113.68 mg / dL), glycated hemoglobin (6.14%), HDL (38.57 mg / dL), LDL
(109.22 mg / dL), triglycerides (149.88 mg / dL), total cholesterol (199.54 mg / dL),
T3 (1.04 nmol / L) and T4 (63.74 nmol / L). Conclusion: There are statistically
significant differences in the MRS, SBP, DBP, MAP, glucose, HbA1c, T4, HDL,
LDL, TG and cholesterol, BMI and abdominal circumference between the high and
low CV risk group. | |
