Manejo odontológico en mujeres embarazas en el cantón Villamil Playas

Abstract

El embarazo es un estado de cambios fisiológicos dinámicos que afectan la salud de las mujeres gestantes, su percepción e interacciones con el medio ambiente. El cuidado que debe tener este tipo de paciente son los controles odontológicos mensuales. Hay instrucciones que deben considerarse durante el tratamiento de los dientes para minimizar el riesgo del feto y de la madre. Siendo el objetivo de estudio que se pretende determinar el manejo odontológico en mujeres embarazadas en CDI del Cantón Villamil Playas, mediante una metodología descriptiva, no experimental, exploratorio; con una técnica bibliográfica de recolección de datos, por medio del cual se muestran los resultados delas principales patologías bucodentales producidas por las diferentes hormonas durante el embarazo que son: caries, alteraciones gingivales y periodontales, granulomas piógeno, erosiones dentales, perdidas y movilidades dentarias.. Concluyendo que la atención a las mujeres embarazadas requiere de una atención especial en algunos procedimientos terapéuticos, por lo que coinciden con el embarazo dedicado a la maduración y no a la organogénesis.
