The influence of the realia technique to improve the fluency in the english language

Abstract

The purpose of this research work is to determine the influence of the Realia technique on oral expression through a statistical and bibliographic search to improve fluency in tenth grade students of the Francisco Huerta Rendón Educational Unit in the 2021-2022 school year, which according to the Common European Framework of Reference should have an A2 level. The investigation was carried out through background and historical, contextual, and legal foundations with the aim of understanding and analyzing the reason for the problem in the students. In the same way, techniques and instruments used for data collection are included: survey of students and interview the teacher to confirm the existence of a problem. Thanks to the information acquired, a didactic guide of activities to improve the fluency in the oral expression of students in the English language was presented as a proposal using role plays, dramatizations, narrations, dialogues, and descriptions as strategies to develop, strengthen and improve the oral expression of the educational community.

La finalidad de este trabajo de investigación es determinar la influencia de la técnica Realia en la expresión oral a través de una búsqueda estadística y bibliográfica para mejorar la fluidez en los estudiantes de décimo grado de la Unidad Educativa Francisco Huerta Rendón en el año lectivo 2021-2022, los cuales según el Marco Común Europeo de Referencia deberían poseer un nivel A2. Se realizó una investigación a través de antecedentes y fundamentos históricos, contextuales y legales con el objetivo de comprender y analizar el porqué de la problemática en los alumnos. De igual manera, se incluyen técnicas e instrumentos utilizados para la recopilación de datos: encuesta a los alumnos y entrevista al profesor para ratificar la existencia de un problema. Gracias a la información adquirida se presentó como propuesta una guía didáctica de actividades para mejorar la fluidez en la expresión oral de los estudiantes en el idioma inglés empleando juegos de rol, dramatizaciones, narraciones, diálogos y descripciones como estrategias para desarrollar, fortalecer y mejorar la expresión oral de la comunidad educativa.
