Incidencia del sector petrolero en la economía ecuatoriana durante el gobierno de Lenín Moreno. Período mayo 2017 - mayo 2021

Abstract

El presente trabajo de investigación se desarrolló con el objetivo de analizar la participación del sector petrolero en la economía ecuatoriana y los efectos positivos o negativos que se generaron durante el período 2017-2021, en el que se presentaron distintos factores endógenos y exógenos que conllevaron a una de las mayores crisis política, económica y social en el país. Para ello se utilizaron tanto el método cualitativo como el método cuantitativo para la correcta medición e interpretación de los resultados obtenidos. La investigación es de tipo documental y no se requirió de población o muestra, ya que no se emplearon encuestas o entrevistas. Se utilizó la técnica de la observación y análisis de datos obtenidos de fuentes oficiales como el Banco Central del Ecuador, EP PetroEcuador, Ministerio de Economía y Finanzas, entre otras; las mismas que sirvieron para estudiar el comportamiento del sector petrolero durante el período de estudio y concluir que, en el período del Lcdo. Moreno, tanto la producción como las exportaciones petroleras fueron relativamente bajas.

This research work was developed with the objective of analyzing the incidence of the oil sector in the Ecuadorian economy and the positive or negative effects that were generated during the period 2017-2021, in which different endogenous and exogenous factors were presented that led to one of the biggest political, economic and social crisis in the country. For this, both the qualitative and quantitative method were used for the correct measurement and interpretation of the results obtained. The research is of a documentary type and no population or sample was required, since no surveys or interviews were used. The technique of observation and analysis of data obtained from official sources such as the Central Bank of Ecuador, EP PetroEcuador, Ministry of Economic and Finance, among other, was used; the same ones that were used to study the behavior of the oil sector during the study period and concluded that, in the period of Lcdo. Moreno, both oil production and exports were relatively low.
