Factores que influyen en el comportamiento infantil durante la consulta odontológica.

Abstract

La serie de factores que influyen en el bienestar físico y mental del paciente durante la atención odontológica, puede afectar el éxito del tratamiento que se planea realizar, entre ellos, está la edad del niño, las actitudes o las opiniones que tienen los adultos hacia el odontólogo, la poca comunicación por parte del odontólogo e incluso el lugar de trabajo pueden causar que el niño desarrolle temor que alterará su conducta frente al odontopediatra, quien debe estar preparado para poder controlar al niño, usando las técnicas conductuales correctas. El presente trabajo de investigación tiene como objetivo principal, determinar los factores que influyen en el comportamiento infantil durante la consulta odontológica. La metodología es de tipo bibliográfico y descriptivo. Concluyendo que la edad del niño, el estilo parental o los problemas para relacionarse con personas en el ámbito familiar y social afectan el desarrollo de habilidades que tiene para asociarse con su entorno, y dentro del área odontológica el profesional deberá usar estrategias para controlar las situaciones que se presenten.

The main objective of this research work is to determine the factors that influence child behavior during the dental consultation. The methodology is bibliographic and descriptive. Concluding that the child's age, parental style or problems relating to people in the family and social sphere affect the development of skills that he has to associate with his environment, and within the dental area the professional should use strategies to control the situations that arise.
