Análisis de la situación actual, perspectivas y acuerdos comerciales entre Ecuador y corea del Sur

Abstract

Ante la firma casi segura del Acuerdo Estratégico de Cooperación Económica (SECA) entre los Gobiernos de Ecuador y Corea del Sur, varios sectores económicos sienten incertidumbre y temor por las consecuencias que tendrá para ellos dicha negociación, una de ellas es que las manufacturas surcoreanas desplacen a las ecuatorianas. Como en todo acuerdo, el SECA traerá ventajas y desventajas para el comercio ecuatoriano, las mismas que deben ser conocidas por quienes se mueven en esta actividad con la finalidad de evitar posibles impactos o aprovechar los beneficios que se deriven de la firma del Acuerdo. El presente trabajo de titulación tiene como objetivo analizar la situación actual y perspectivas de la negociación y firma del SECA Ecuador-Corea del Sur para de este modo determinar el impacto sobre el comercio exterior ecuatoriano. Para alcanzar los objetivos de la investigación se realizaron entrevistas a profesionales vinculados al tema y personas que laboran en el Consulado de Corea en Ecuador, con lo cual se pudo determinar las ventajas y desventajas que la firma del Acuerdo traerá para el comercio exterior ecuatoriano. Finalmente se muestra la propuesta la cual consiste en el diseño de estrategias para que el sector empresarial ecuatoriano pueda aprovechar los beneficios de la firma del SECA

At the signing of the Strategic Economic Cooperation Agreement (SECA) between the Governments of Ecuador and South Korea, whose negotiations began formally in January 2016 and are expected to be completed by the beginning of 2017, some of the economic sectors feel uncertain about the consequences that the negotiations will have for them, and they fear that South Korean manufactures will displace the Ecuadorians. As in any Agreement, the SECA will bring advantages and disadvantages to Ecuadorian trade, which must be known by those who move in this activity in order to avoid potential impacts or take advantage of the benefits that result from signing the same. The objective of the present titling work is to analyze the current situation and prospects of the negotiation and signing of the SECA Ecuador-South Korea in order to determine the impact on the Ecuadorian foreign trade. In order to achieve the objectives of the research, interviews were carried out with professionals related to the subject and people working at the Consulate of Korea in Ecuador, which could determine the advantages and disadvantages that the agreement will bring to Ecuador's foreign trade. Finally, the proposal is presented, which consists of the design of strategies for the Ecuadorian business sector to take advantage of the benefits of signing the SECA
