Financing through soft loans gives microentrepreneurs the possibility of acquiring capital goods such as machinery, equipment or vehicles; It also allows to innovate in the productive processes through the incorporation of new technologies or the training of the personnel that carries out said economic activity, making the production and commercialization process more efficient and productive. It is for this reason that the agricultural sector demands this type of financing to be able to expand its frontier of production possibilities and thus achieve sustainable development. Small and medium-sized farmers in the Palenque canton need to resort to financing through loans, requesting them either in public banks or to a lesser extent in private banks in order to produce corn, rice or other agricultural goods and thus obtain income enough to support your home. Under this premise, the following was formulated as a topic to investigate: the analysis of soft credit and its benefits in the agricultural production of the Palenque province of Los Ríos. Period 2013 - 2017; whereby the research question that synthesizes the problem posed and that will be answered with the development of this research is the following: To what extent is the agricultural production of the Palenque canton affected by the decrease or lack of soft credits?
