Impresión 3D para registro de modelos como alternativa a la Técnica Convencional.

Abstract

El principal objetivo de este trabajo ha sido determinar la eficacia que tiene el sistema de “Impresión Digital” como alternativa a la técnica convencional, demostrando así las ventajas y desventajas que ésta nos brinda en el ámbito odontológico, como lo es la tecnología de los escáneres intraorales junto a la manufacturación de prótesis fija por el “DISEÑO ASISTIDO POR COMPUTADORA Y MANUFACTURA ASISTIDA POR COMPUTADOR” CAD/CAM, que se han introducido en diferentes sistemas de impresión, haciendo un proceso más eficaz y preciso que las impresiones convencionales con elastómeros, ya que para este tipo de tratamientos necesitamos la mayor exactitud en las impresiones debido a que el éxito de las restauraciones protésicas depende en gran parte de la calidad de los tallados y modelos sobre los que se diseñen las restauraciones; en este caso nos enfocamos en la rehabilitación de la zona anterior con dos coronas para devolver la estética y funcionalidad de nuestro paciente. Objetivo: Implementar los beneficios de este sistema a la consulta diaria, o de por lo menos en un caso en la Clínica Integral del Adulto Mayor en nuestra facultad y que pueda ser ésta una técnica implementada en beneficio del aprendizaje de los estudiantes, tanto de pregrado como del área de postgrado; ya que la toma de impresiones es una fase de vital importancia en la rehabilitación oral. Método: El adecuado registro de las preparaciones dentales para prótesis fija tiene una especial importancia, puesto que se encuentra directamente relacionado con el ajuste marginal y el sellado periférico de las restauraciones, y este a su vez con el éxito del tratamiento.

The main objective of this work is to determine the effectiveness of the "Digital Printing" system as an alternative to conventional technique, demonstrating the advantages and disadvantages that it provides in the dental field. The technology of intraorals scanners with the manufacture of fixed prosthesis by the "CAD / CAM COMPUTER-ASSISTED COMPUTER ASSISTED MANUFACTURER DESIGN", have been introduced in different printing systems, making a more efficient and precise process than conventional impressions with elastomers, since that for this types of treatments need the highest accuracy in the impressions. The success of the prosthetic restorations depends or a large extent, on the quality of the carvings and models on which the restorations are designed. In this case the rehabilitation of the anterior area is focused, with two crowns, to restore the aesthetics and functionality of the patient. Objective: To implement the benefits of this system to the daily consultation or, at least, in one case in the Integral Clinic of the Elderly in Pilot Faculty of Dentistry and it this technique can be implemented for the benefit of student learning, both undergraduate or postgraduate. Taking of impressions is a phase of vital importance in oral rehabilitation. Method: The proper registration of dental preparations for fixed prostheses is of particular importance, since it is directly related to the marginal adjustment and peripheral sealing of the restorations, and can be the success of the treatment.
