Eficacia del plasma rico en fibrina como regenerador tisular en pacientes postextracción de terceros molares incluidos

Abstract

Los avances tecnológicos del presente siglo, nos llevan a buscar alternativas actualizadas, en perfeccionar los tratamientos odontológicos, es así como existe el interés en estudiar la ingeniería tisular guiada de los tejidos bucales; en el área de cirugía oral, la extracción de los terceros molares es uno de los procedimientos que más se realizan presentando un alto índice de complicaciones postoperatorias (dolor, edema, trismos) que repercute en la integridad física y psicológica de los pacientes. El uso del plasma rico en fibrina (PRF) es una técnica de regeneración compuesta por células autógenas y factores de crecimiento formando en conjunto la membrana de fibrina, siendo este un biomaterial autólogo es decir extraído de la misma sangre del paciente. El presente estudio tuvo como objetivo evidenciar que la utilización del PRF, mejorando las condiciones postoperatorias del paciente, disminuyendo la sintomatología en el proceso de cicatrización del paciente, lo cual permite que el individuo se incorpore rápidamente a sus actividades cotidianas; se evaluaron siete pacientes que requirieron extracción de los terceros molares inferiores, se los selecciono mediante criterios de inclusión y exclusión, posteriormente se eligió un grupo de control y un grupo experimental, realizándose el protocolo clínico, supervisados con expertos en el área dando como resultado la disminución de la sintomatología en la cual se evidencio menor grado de inflamación y dolor en el grupo experimental comparado con el grupo de control utilizando el método de Laskin y la escala visual analógica, regeneración acelerada de sus tejidos para prevenir complicaciones postoperatorias, así como también la ausencia de reacciones alergénicas debido a que el PRF es un material biológico autólogo, económico de fácil obtención y procesamiento del producto

The technological advances of the present century have led us to look for updated alternatives to improve dental treatments. This is how there is interest to study the guided tissue engineering of the oral tissue. In the area of oral surgery, the extraction of third molars is one of the most common activities with a high rate of postoperative complications (pain, edema, trismuss) that affects the physical and psychological integrity of patients.The use of Platelet Rich Fibrin (PRF) is a regeneration technique composed of autogenous cells and growth factors to form the fibrin membrane. It is an autologous biomaterial that is extracted from the patient's own blood. The objective of this study was to show the use and benefits of PRF. The PRF improves the postoperative conditions of the patient, decreasing the symptomatology in the process of healing of the patient. PRF allows that the individual has a quick incorporation to their daily activities. Seven patients were evaluated who required extraction of the lower third molars. They were selected by inclusion and exclusion criteria. Then a control side and a work side were chosen. It was done the clinical protocol, supervised by experts in the area. The results were the reduction of symptoms in which the inflammation and pain was less on the work side compared to the control side using the Laskin method and the visual analog scale. PRF accelerated the tisues regeneration to prevent postoperative complications and no allergenic reactions because it is autologous. It is a economical biological material that it is easy to obtain and process.
