Perfil epidemiológico del VIH - SIDA en pacientes de el Hospital León Becerra Camacho de Milagro, período 2014 - 2015

Abstract

El virus de la inmunodeficiencia humana (VIH) infecta a las células del sistema inmuni-tario, alterando o anulando su función. La infección produce un deterioro progresivo del sistema inmunitario, con la consiguiente "inmunodeficiencia", nuestro objetivo en el pre-sente trabajo investigativo es derminar el perfil epidemiológico de la población en estudio para poder prevenir las posibles complicaciones y el mayor número de riesgo de contagios entre la población de milagro, y así disminuir el índice de pacientes VIH- SIDA, asi como la morbi-mortalidad de los pacientes infectados que reciben tratamiento antirretrovi-ral(TARV)
