dc.description.abstractCardiac markers have been used in order to assist clinical diagnosis of animals with heart disease, more accurately, enabling the establishment of earlier prognosis and therapy. However, in Brazilian veterinary medicine, these markers are generally still restricted to researches. This review aims to approach the major cardiac markers, which further may become essential indexes in heart assessment.
