Relação peso - comprimento do otólito saggita para o peixe espada (Perciformes; Trichiuridae)

Abstract

O presente estudo apresenta a relação peso-comprimento do otólito saggita para o peixe- espada (Trichiurus lepturus), com espécimes coletados no litoral paulista e seus otólitos analisados entre 2015 a 2021. Os comprimentos totais dos peixes variaram entre 102 e 1.921 mm, e peso entre 0,31 gramas a 1452,4 gramas. Os pares dos otólitos saggita foram extraídos, pesados e medidos, e as relações morfométricas determinadas pelo modelo linear de Huxley, encontrando o R² das relações. Os resultados evidenciaram uma relação positiva linear entre o peso do peixe com seu otólito, definida por y = 1,5249x + 5,4874, R² = 0,98, já a relação entre o comprimento do peixe com o otólito é definido por y= 1,3695x + 1,8785, R2=0,97. Pode-se considerar que o estudo mostrou que para a espécie Trichiurus lepturus a relação peso-comprimento entre o otólito e o espécime tem relação proporcional direta, podendo ser utilizada em estimativas de comprimentos e idades para exemplares sem os dados biológicos, ou quando se tem apenas dados de otólitos do exemplar.

The present study presents the weight-length relationship of the saggite otolith for the swordfish (Trichiurus lepturus), with specimens collected off the coast of São Paulo and their otoliths analyzed between 2015 and 2021. The total lengths of the fish ranged between 102 and 1,921 mm, and weight between 0.31 grams to 1452.4 grams. Saggite otolith pairs were extracted, weighed and measured, and the morphometric relationships determined by Huxley's linear model, finding the R² of the relationships. The results showed a positive linear relationship between the weight of the fish and its otolith, defined by y = 1.5249x + 5.4874, R² = 0.98, while the relationship between the length of the fish and the otolith is defined by y= 1.3695x + 1.8785, R2=0.97. It can be considered that the study showed that for the species Trichiurus lepturus the weight-length relationship between the otolith and the specimen has a direct proportional relationship, being able to be used in estimates of lengths and ages for specimens where there are no biological data, or when if you have only otolith data from the specimen.
