Introduction: Football players suffer between 2.48 and 9.4 injuries every 1000 hours of play, with injuries of the hamstring muscles being the most common. Recurrence rates for hamstring injuries remain high, despite preventive measures. These injuries are caused by running at high speed. One of the strategies for preventing injuries in football includes the FIFA protocol called FIFA 11+, a warm-up program with an average duration of 10 to 15 min.; the program based on the Nordic Flexion (NH) exercise, to generate improvement in concentric and eccentric actions, providing a protective effect against mechanisms of injury to the hamstring muscle; and programs that include Core training, which generate greater proximal muscle control during a sprint and consequently reduce the risk of injury to the hamstrings. Objective: This study aims to analyze the training programs for the prevention of main football injuries through. Methods: It is about a literature review of studies published in the last twelve years in the Pubmed, Lilacs, Scielo database. Conclusion: That Core Training should compose a training program to prevent hamstring injuries, concomitant with effective exercises such as Nordic flexion and those of the FIFA11 + protocol.
