In this article I try to remember and reflect on the importance of social interaction in Jean Piaget's Genetic Epistemology. Therefore, I recover memories of my training as a psychologist and professional experiences in teacher training courses. I also revisit classic concepts from Piaget's theory and conclude by reaffirming the central role of social interaction, which includes culture, in Genetic Epistemology, as necessary for the constitution of the subject of knowledge itself.
