The present work aimed to estimate the evapotranspiration in the sugar cane crop irrigated by the central pivot and subsurface drip systems, as well as non-irrigated areas, in Northwest region of São Paulo, applying the algorithm SAFER (Simple Algorithm for Evapotranspiration Retrieving) in images from Landsat 8 satelite. The data considered correspond to the 2017/2018 harvest. The evapotranspiration values in the area irrigated by central pivot remained higher than those of the area under subsurface drip irrigation during all cycle, approximating only in the months corresponding to the rainy season in the region. The not-irrigated areas presented lower evapotranspiration values when compared to irrigated areas, but in the region’s rainy season the evapotranspiration values of all de areas analyzed approximate due to the soil water availability.
