The Pontal do Paranapanema region, located in the west of the State of Sao Paulo, has 117 rural settlements resulting from the Agrarian Reform process, becoming one of the regions of Brazil where the agrarian question becomes more latent, mainly due to the concentration of settlements and the number of families settled. In view of this, we are drawn to the discussions about the reproductive forms of these peasant families, of which subordination to the agricultural industry capital stands out, leading them to integration through the production of pickled cucumber. The results of the research reveal the subordination of the income and the work of the families showing how this production dynamics controls the time, the production and the work and how it puts at risk the health of the families by the amount of pesticides used.
