Based on the assumptions of Theory, Literary Criticism and Psychoanalysis, this proposal of reflection on the work Diary of the fall of Michel Laub published in 2011. The theme focuses on the ideological and psychic changes experienced by the narrator self-digetic over time. The aim is to separate ideologically the narrator self and the narrated self, starting from a hypothesis that there is a psychic mechanism that accompanies the trajectory of the narrated self until arriving at the moment of enunciation. The methods used are restricted to the use of research of deductive character in the area of Theory, Literary Criticism and Psychoanalysis. For such, authors like Gerard Genette, Sigmund Freud, Ronaldo Lins, among others will be invited to the discussion in opportune moments. It is hoped, through such an analytical aim, to arrive at the understanding of the process of transformation or division of the self into the narrator of Diary of the fall.
