| dc.description | The geochemistry of Archaean metabasalts of the Guarinos greenstone belt, central Brazil, has been investigated and preliminary results presented in the paper. The data indicate abyssal tholeiitic affïnity with early olivine and late clinopyroxene fractionation from a Ti- and REE-enriched mantle. Normalization to the composition of modern tectonic environment basalts suggest that the best fit is with a back-arc tectonic regime. | en-US |
