dc.descriptionWe are present, now with the publication of Vol. 8 No. 2, of the magazine Science and Physical Activity (CIAF).   This is another opportunity to feel satisfied for reaching the moment of the publication of another number of our magazine, in which we can show the result of the scientific work of local and Cuban authors. We extend our thanks from the Editorial Board, to the entire work team for their efforts, and again to the collaborators for their commitment in such difficult times of maintaining the pandemic, to you and our readers, we dedicate this edition that contributes to the dissemination of research results in the area of ​​physical culture and sports, of proven importance for human beings and, above all, for their health and well-being.   The current number presents a pleasant proposal: Oral piercings: a health challenge in athletes from Villa Clara; Manual of exercises with weights for the preparation of strength in basketball players; Grisel Herrera Méndez, a glory of Cuban Basketball.   Contributions related to: State of theoretical preparation in youth weightlifters are also attractive; Cuban triple jump. A procedure for determining the sports reserve; Traditional games in physical-recreational activities in the Vigía-Sandino Popular Council. dc.descriptionEstamos presentes, ahora con la publicación del Vol. 8 Núm. 2, de la revista Ciencia y Actividad Física (CIAF).   Es esta otra oportunidad para sentirnos satisfechos por llegar al momento de la publicación de otro número de nuestra revista, en el que podemos mostrar el resultado del trabajo científico de autores locales y de Cuba. Extendemos un agradecimiento desde el Consejo Editorial, a todo el equipo de trabajo por su empeño, y nuevamente a los colaboradores por su compromiso en tiempos tan difíciles de mantenimiento de la pandemia, a ustedes y a nuestros lectores, dedicamos la presente edición que contribuye a la divulgación de los resultados investigativos  en el área de la cultura física y el deporte, de demostrada importancia para el ser humano y sobre todo, para su salud y bienestar.   El actual número presenta una agradable propuesta: El piercings bucal: un reto a la salud en atletas de Villa Clara; Manual de ejercicios con pesas para la preparación de la fuerza en jugadores de Baloncesto; Grisel Herrera Méndez, una gloria del Baloncesto cubano.   También resultan atractivas las contribuciones relacionadas con: Estado de la preparación teórica en pesistas juveniles; Salto triple cubano. Un procedimiento para la determinación de la reserva deportiva; Los juegos tradicionales en las actividades físico-recreativas en el Consejo Popular Vigía-Sandino.
