dc.descriptionThe main objective of this article is to describe, with reasons and examples, that historicism should be taken into consideration in the teaching of hard sciences or natural sciences as a way to increase the motivation and need to study them. The lack of motivation to learn hard sciences in different educational levels leads to a low admission of student interested in studying them at universities, which is detrimental to the training of scientists all over the world. Several methodological resources have been developed to alleviate the situation, but there are no notable improvements in this regard. International experiences have shown that inserting the History of Science, especially the humanistic one, can be useful to humanize the teaching of hard sciences. This subject leads to an increase in the motivational levels of students. Even though these studies are scarce and they not were generalized with the speed required.en-US
dc.descriptionEn este artículo se pretende, como objetivo primordial, describir, con variadas razones y ejemplos, que el historicismo debe ser tomado en consideración en la enseñanza de las “ciencias duras” o ciencias de la naturaleza como vía para elevar la motivación y la necesidad hacia su estudio. La desmotivación hacia el aprendizaje de las ciencias duras, en los diversos niveles educativos, conlleva al bajo ingreso para estudiarlas en las universidades, lo que va en detrimento de la formación de científicos a escala internacional. Varios recursos didácticos se han elaborado para paliar la situación creada, pero no existen notables mejorías al respecto. Experiencias internacionales han demostrado que insertar la Historia de la Ciencia, en especial la humanística que desde la misma se puede impregnar en la enseñanza de las “ciencias duras”, tomando en consideración que afirma la excelsa dignidad humana, conlleva al alza de los niveles motivacionales en los estudiantes. Pero estos estudios son escasos y no se han generalizado con la celeridad que se requiere.es-ES
