Transformações de Möbius

Abstract

O objetivo deste trabalho é estudar uma classe especial de funções complexas, chamadas transformações de Möbius. Para isso, primeiramente, fazemos a construção do plano complexo estendido e da projeção estereográfica (que relaciona o plano complexo estendido e a esfera). Posteriormente, fazemos a interpretação geométrica da função inversa para, finalmente, chegar nas transformações de Möbius.

Abstract: The purpose of this work is to study a special class of complex functions,called Möbius transformations. In order to do that, we first define theextended complex plane and the stereographic projection (which givesa relation between the extended complex plane and the sphere). Thenwe study the geometric interpretation of the inversion function, andfinally we arrive at the Möbius transformations.
