Impacto ambiental do Consórcio Intermunicipal de Gestão Multifuncional (CITEGEM) sobre a nascente do lajeado Erval Novo

Abstract

The objective of this study was to evaluate the influence of the sanitary landfill of the Public Consortium CITEGEM, located in the municipality of Bom Progresso / RS, on the source of Erval Novo stream. The distance between the Consortium and the source is 280 meters. The possibility of environmental impact of the landfill is an object of insecurity since the Erval Novo stream is the source that supplies the population of the neighboring municipality. Analytical reports on the quality of spring water, soil in the CITEGEM area, as well as on the groundwater monitoring network installed in the Consortium were used for the diagnosis. The investigation resulted in the finding that the groundwater flow does not indicate contaminant deflation from the landfill and soil analyzes did not indicate the infiltration of contaminants. However, the source of the Erval Novo slab is out of potability standards for characteristic indicators of contamination from agricultural activities.
