Condições de trabalho e permanência de professores de geografia na rede estadual de ensino em Florianópolis/SC

Abstract

A pesquisa tem como objetivo principal avaliar as condições de trabalho e permanência dos professores de geografia da Rede Estadual de Educação de Santa Catarina em Florianópolis, discutindo e analisando nesse âmbito questões relativas ao plano de carreira desses profissionais, suas condições físicas de trabalho ? infraestrutura das escolas, recursos pedagógicos e apoio pedagógico ? sua formação continuada, sua remuneração e suas condições de permanência na profissão. Para tanto, a pesquisa substanciou suas discussões da seguinte forma: uma revisão bibliográfica sobre esses temas, identificando e relacionando as ideias e resultados desses trabalhos com o aqueles encontrados na pesquisa e; a realização de uma entrevista semiestruturada com professores de geografia da rede pública estadual de Santa Catarina no município de Florianópolis. A pesquisa encontrou como resultados que os professores entrevistados enfrentam problemas relativos à infraestrutura das escolas, ao acesso aos recursos didáticos e ao apoio pedagógico, em diferentes níveis. Identificou também que os professores sofrem um processo de intensificação e sobrecarga de trabalho, pois devido aos baixos rendimentos esses professores acabam dando muitas aulas, prejudicando a qualidade de seu trabalho, dificultando seu planejamento e sua busca por melhorias na formação. Além disso, identificou-se também que a formação continuada ofertada aos professores é insuficiente ? tratando-se na verdade de uma capacitação ? e os professores encontram grandes dificuldades em realizar saídas de campo com seus alunos. Esse cenário reforça a frustração, decepção, angústia, desestímulo e desencanto com a profissão por parte desses professores, o que pode gerar diversos tipos de abandono. Dessa forma, a presente pesquisa reforça a necessidade de uma maior união entre os professores enquanto classe, sobretudo no sentido de lutar pelo aumento dos investimentos em educação.<br>

Abstract : The main objective of the research was to evaluate the working conditions and permanence of the teachers of geography of the State Education Network of Santa Catarina in Florianópolis, discussing and analyzing in this scope questions related to the career plan of these professionals, their physical working conditions - schools, pedagogical resources and pedagogical support - their continuing education, their remuneration and their conditions of permanence in the profession. To do so, the research substantiated its discussions as follows: a bibliographic review on these themes, identifying and relating the ideas and results of those works with those found in the research; the accomplishment of a semistructured interview with professors of geography of the state public network of Santa Catarina in the city of Florianopolis. The research found that the teachers interviewed faced problems related to school infrastructure, access to teaching resources and pedagogical support at different levels. He also identified that the teachers undergo a process of intensification and overload of work, because due to the low income these teachers end up giving many classes, impairing the quality of their work, making their planning difficult and their search for improvements in training. In addition, it has also been identified that continued training offered to teachers is insufficient - in fact, it is a training course - and teachers find it very difficult to carry out field trips with their students. This scenario reinforces the frustration, disappointment, anguish, discouragement and disenchantment with the profession on the part of these teachers, which can generate diverse types of abandonment. Thus, the present research reinforces the need for a greater union between teachers as a class, especially in the sense of fighting for increased investments in education.
