dc.descriptionEsta pesquisa objetivou construir conhecimentos científicos referentes à raiva por meio da elaboração de uma Ilha Interdisciplinar de Racionalidade (IIR) em torno da gravura Mad dog ou Cachorro raivoso (1826) de Thomas Lord Busby. A IIR foi desenvolvida durante o ano letivo de 2018 em uma escola do campo da rede pública do município de Castro - Paraná. Participaram da pesquisa 22 alunos do 8º ano do Ensino Fundamental II. O trabalho foi desenvolvido seguindo-se as oito etapas propostas por Fourez para a IIR, articuladas com os três momentos pedagógicos de Delizoicov. Trata-se de uma pesquisa qualitativa de natureza aplicada. Como resultados verificou-se que a IIR possibilitou a interdisciplinaridade entre Arte e Ciências, bem como aproximou os conteúdos escolares do contexto dos alunos, incluindo temas de relevância social no ambiente escolar. Além disto, contribuiu para a alfabetização científica dos alunos, desenvolvendo suas habilidades de linguagem oral, escrita, científica e artística.pt-BR
dc.descriptionThis research aimed at build scientific knowledge concerning rabies through the elaboration of an Interdisciplinary Island of Rationality (IIR) around the engraving Mad dog (1826) by Thomas Lord Busby. The IIR was developed during the academic year of 2018 at a school in the public network field of the Castro town - Paraná. From the elementary school, twenty-two students enrolled at 8th grade participated in the study. The work was developed following the eight steps proposed by Fourez for the IIR, articulated with the three pedagogical moments by Delizoicov. This is a qualitative research of an applied nature. As results, it was verified that the IIR made possible the interdisciplinarity between Art and Sciences, as well as approached the school contents of the context of the students, including subjects of social relevance in the school environment. In addition, it contributed to the students’ scientific literacy, developing their oral, written, scientific and artistic language skills.en-US
