dc.description.abstract | The process of cold cure in sand mold is the technique widely applied for foundry because of their low cost compare to the other method. However, the refuse entailed to the process of foundry can became a notable problem for the companies, seeing that the waste generates extra cost to the process that depend on the volume can impact on the month revenue. That way this paper had the intention of detect the main cause of refuse of a company during a period of time that the problem was very significant, was used some quality tools to create some process improvement to dissolve the problem. For collecting the database was used a spreadsheet which evidenced that 306 pieces was refuse during the period of the monitoring, using the software power bi to create a Pareto diagram was possible to detect the 3 most predominate defects was: dimensional deviations, cracks and porosity that combined add up to 67,65% of the total refuse from the company. After that was created an Ishikawa diagram for each defect to discover the probable causes for this non-compliance. Lastly was developed an action plan to reduce the refuse of process looking for the best way to improve the company production. | |
