dc.description.abstractThe storage of soybean seeds under suitable conditions positively influences the establishment of the subsequent harvest, generating more productive grain crops. The objective of this work was to evaluate the performance of soybean seeds (Glycine max L. Merril) submitted to storage under different light conditions. The work was developed in the Laboratory of Seed Analysis, Federal Technological University of Paraná (UTFPR), Câmpus de Dois Vizinhos - PR. Seeds of certified soybean, category C2, of cultivar NA 5909 RG, produced in the 2016/17 crop, in the region of. (0, 2, 4, 6 and 8 months) (Factor B) were stored in two light conditions (total dark and natural light) (Factor A) over a period of 8 months. A completely randomized design was used, with four replications, in a 2 x 5 factorial scheme, for later evaluation of the physiological quality. The analyzed variables were: germination; accelerated aging; classification of seedling vigor; length of seedlings; dry mass of seedlings; emergency in the field; speed index. After tabulation and compilation, the data set was submitted to analysis of variance and regression, where the significance of the factors and their interactions were tested by the F test (P>0.05). The results obtained allow to conclude that the luminosity condition in the factor without light influenced the physiological quality of soybean seeds during the period of storage
