The present work aims to analyze, in a quantitative way, the production of biogas from the anaerobic digestion of vinasse in different filter cake concentrations of sugarcane plant, as well as verifying the energy viability of the product. This study collaborates to researches and technological advances in sustainable development, since biogas is a clean and renewable source of energy and can be a viable alternative in obtaining heat and electricity, decentralizing hydric source as an energy matrix. For this, were collected 20 liters of vinasse, 2 kg of filter cake and about 5 liters of sludge from the bottom of lakes of Plant Alto Alegre (UAA) located in Florestópolis - PR. These samples were inoculated into 8 UASB reactors, divided into duplicates of 4 filter cake concentrations, which are: (1) only vinasse (blank), (2) vinasse and 50g filter cake, (3) vinasse and 70g filter cake, (4) 90g filter cake and vinasse, whereas in all the reactors were added 200 ml of sludge to accelerate the reaction. The parameters analyzed during the experiment were: pH, total solids, volatile solids, electrical conductivity and quantitative analysis of the biogas produced. The result of the maximum biogas production was 4.63 liters in 17 days of operation, resulting in the potential energy equivalent to 214.47 kWh/h and the dimensioning was performed on 4 reactors with daily volume capacity of 829 m³ of vinasse.
