Análise e prevenção de acidentes em elevadores automotivos

Abstract

This work has as purpose to analyze and define methods of accident prevention related to failures of automotive lifters. For this, a risk management methodology is used, initially composed by a technical inspection, photographic report and interview of employees and owners of the environment of four auto-repair shops. By the ICT and APR techniques, the risks of working with that lifters are identified and analyzed in order to obtain the root cause of them, as well possible correction and treatment actions. As results, it follows that the main risks are the accidental shock of the operators with the equipment or vehicle suspended by it, as well the injuries resulting from the fall of free objects after the lifting. Additionally, as root causes of the incidents, there is the lack of training of the operators, the absence of EPIs, as well as the lack of specification and preventive maintenance on the equipment. Finally, a checklist is proposed in order to observe the causes of such risks, giving due treatment to them and thus mitigate them.
