dc.description.abstractWith the aim of contributing to studies in people management, this thesis was to analyze the management of organizational conflict, types of conflict, factors causing conflicts, in which levels they happen and conflict management within organizations . In this sense conflicts occur in any type of both private and public organization to be inherent in human nature. Within this perspective, the study of people within organizations both public and private poses as strategic. In the public sector because the goal is to improve efficiency and effectiveness in providing services to society and the private search because the profit of the company. However, in both cases people are involved. The research is characterized as a case study exploratory, descriptive nature within a qualitative approach. Questionnaires to 06 Managers and or leaders of a private sector company were applied. The results showed that the perceptions of managers and leaders regarding the conflicts are beneficial to the organization when it is positive.
