dc.description.abstractThis study aimed to analyze using techniques of statistical analysis and computer simulation data of operation and demand a telephone exchange of a public institution located in the west of Paraná. Initially the data were collected and the movement of the plant was evaluated by means of statistical tests to establish the peak times for use in the simulation, for both a model of the dynamic, stochastic and discrete type was implemented in the simulation software Arena® ®. In addition, we evaluated the same core through the Erlang formula C, which itself presents an equation for simulating demand service and telephone exchanges. After the simulation, new configurations were tested in order to optimize the treatment system service with the correct distribution of employees taking into consideration the peak hours.
