Fashion is a new science, directly related to social, political, economic and cultural aspects. Guided by this premise, this paper is aimed at Gaucho traditionalists contemporary women, specifically those who do not live in his home state. That state (Rio Grande do Sul), develops, for this audience, mostly pieces in casual wear segment, using the modeling, shapes, trims and embroidery, among others, usually found in traditional pilchas. Thus, casual clothing that expresses the culture, even amid the ongoing processes of globalization, resists and influences the lives of these women. This study is grounded through the standards of the major organs that govern the current Centers in traditional clothes Gaucho Traditions (CTGs) and official contests – The Gaucho Traditionalist Movement (MTG); in works whose authors cited consumption linked to identity and symbolic values in clothing, as several scholars have written about the tradition, culture, regionalism and nativism. In this work, studies on internal and external influences on clothing that group were performed; as well as traditionalist way to consume. The research used the online questionnaire and the interviews have taken place with traditionalists that complement the responses. The emphasis treated both as aesthetic preferences about how they feel about their traditions. In this context, it is understood that the gaucho culture can contribute greatly to the national fashion and serve as inspiration for many designers, since it is endowed with history, legends and symbols, and a truly attractive aesthetics.
