dc.description.abstractThe optimization process that involves a company production has a very significant importance for the total costs reduction. In the case of a sugarcane power plant, the cane transport process has a significant participation at the total cost and decreasing it can lead to a big financial impact. Therefore, for this study to be possible, the current operational data of a plant located in the countryside of the state of São Paulo were collected. At the same time, an optimization of the sugarcane trucks fleet configuration from this plant was done using the software PERF and WIS, provided by the truck company under study. With both scenarios defined, the TCO calculation was done for both actual and proposed fleets. After that, a financial analysis was performed, comparing the current and proposed spending, reaching a saving of 4,41% of total cost for sugarcane transportation per year. Finally, the study was validated with the set objectives and the desired purposes were achieved.
