This work aims to presente a comparative analysis between IEC 60076-7 and ANSI/IEEE C57.91 standards about transformers charging, having as focus the calculus of the life time of a transformer when it is overloaded, and then point the qualitative and quantitative diferences. At first, the qualitative diferences between the standars are read and enlistee, witch exposes the differences of initial data, as well the math differences along the life time calculation of the transformer. At the end, a quantitative analysis is performed witch, by the way of examples, exposes the numerical difference witch the analysed points in the qualitative analysis exposes.
