dc.description.abstractDue to the increasing competitiveness in the industrial scene, it comes the time for the inevitable seek of automation for repetitive and tiring activities in order to optimize industrial manufacturing processes. With the advent of robotics, the use of robots has become an indispensable factor, and therefore the obligation to monitor and control their behavior in the factories through virtual simulations powered by engineering softwares, ensuring greater reliability and security to the systems built on the factories. In this work, the modeling of a real Flexible Manufacturing System in the software RobotStudio® was developed in order to simulate the behavior of robotic manipulators integrated to a virtual layout of this system, using the guidance of the manuals and tutorials provided by the software developers, as well as users experienced with the tool. The virtual arrangement of the layout was satisfactorily achieved, however, the feasibility of automatic movement and robot programming proved to be compromised due to discrepancies and diversity of information in the manuals and tutorials for the necessary purposes. Nevertheless, the meticulous requirement of input information, as well as the need to execute actions on the software platform in specific orders, indicated that this is a powerful high-level tool for the study of robotic systems, with the potential to provide accurate and detailed solutions to satisfy the demand of the technological market.
