dc.description.abstract | Looking for a constant improvement and development of products, the market is looking for quickly to solve their problems and achieve more efficient development. In this parallel emerges the finite element method, which through computer simulations shows faster and each time more releable solutions for those problems. In this scenario, this project seeks to apply the finite element method to analyze a tubular structure of a mini-Baja vehicle in order to assay its dynamic behavior through the modal analysis and after propose modifications in order to obtain an improvement in the results. The structure developed by Procobaja Team is imported to the software ANSYS, which is made the free-free modal analysis to study the frequencies and the modes of vibration. With the results, new geometries are proposed with differents modifications with the aim of improving parameters such as natural frequencies and their modes of vibration. | |
