The industry of the civil engineering requires a great amount of workforce for the accomplishment of diverse tasks. The tasks developed in the civil engineering are in great majority carried out manually and require diverse degrees of effort. The effort when applied in a continuous, repetitive way, with inadequate materials and not adapted work position, generates the Work-related osteomuscular disturbances (WRMD). This study has as its general objective to point ergonomic adaptations concerning the work position of the walls constructing task of the civil engineering. From the point of view of its nature this research will be applied, being predominantly quantitative in the approach of its results. In relation to its objectives it is descriptive, therefore it aims to describe the characteristics of the work and the workers from the civil engineering, being presented according to its procedures in survey form. It was carried out simple and direct observation of the worker during the walls constructing task associated to photos and filmings. The WinOWAS method was used to classify the used positions and evaluate the ergonomic risk. The Corlett Diagram was applied and anthropometric measurements of 91 workers from the civil engineering were carried out. It was evidenced that the ergonomic risks of the worker from the civil engineering during the construction of masonry walls are high, varying according to the studied anatomical region and the height of the wall. It was verified that 68.13% of the workers presented pain reports. Precariousness of the work positions in relation to adaptations to the workers was perceived. Many of the measures of the work positions were not adapted to the corporal measures of the workers. From the biomechanic and anthropometric evaluations it can be suggested adaptations of the bricklayers wall constructing work positions from the Civil Engineering.
