Grau de conscientização sobre o uso de equipamentos de proteção individual na construção civil

Abstract

In Brazil, the number of accidents at work is still high, with civil construction being one of the sectors with the highest accident rate. In this context, in the case of job security, individual protection is a necessary condition in works. Based on this issue, this research was carried out in the civil construction sector in 2017, with the theme the degree of awareness of the use of Individual Protection Equipment in civil construction and as a general objective: to verify the degree of awareness of the employer and of the worker regarding the use of EPI's (NR 6) for the prevention of accidents, through case studies in civil construction. To obtain data, questionnaires were developed and applied following the main criteria of NR 6 - Individual Protection Equipment of the Ministry of Labor. The research was attended by 12 (twelve) employees: 4 (four) civil engineers, 4 (four) masons, 1 (one) construction foreman, 1 (one) construction master, 1 (one) servant and 1 (one) electrician. When the completed questionnaires were analyzed, there was consistency in the responses of companies, represented by engineers, and workers' responses. And it was concluded that all participants had a high level of awareness regarding the use of EPI’s for the prevention of accidents.
